I am trying to break into the cybersecurity space with no professional experience, only a passion for breaking computer systems and piecing them back together.  I come from a chemical engineering background with experience as a process engineer optimizing production systems and monitoring for efficiency improvements where possible.  I am hoping to leverage this into a new, exciting career in a direction that more closely follows my passion for computers.

Time to date myself:

Video games that got me started:  Doom, Heretic, Hexen, Quake 1/2/3, Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force 1/2, Age of Empires 1/2/3, you name it from the 90s and I played it.

OS’s that got me hooked:  DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95/98/Me/XP, and on up.

Peripherals I still remember:  Floppy disks (8″/5.25″/3.5″), SyQuest SPARQ drive (lol)

I am trying to modernize my knowledge and not break my home network at the same time.  I will be using this site to document my journey into ethical hacking and hardware tinkering.
